Trainee’s Qualification
Required:
• interested in education, personal development and global issues
• speak fluent English
• PC and Internet user skills
• have intercultural communication skills
• open-minded and culturally sensitive
• strong team spirit

Preferred:
• experienced in teaching, facilitating or working with youth
• education background in teaching or related areas
• AIESEC experience

Traineeship Timeline

Global.me project 2011 starts on 10th January 2011. The whole traineeship will last around 15 weeks. There will be a closing event and a summing-up at the end of April 2011. The whole process can be divided into 4 periods.

Preparation period: January
• Trainees arrive in Helsinki, Finland.
• Trainees receive training concerning global issues, teaching methods, Finnish education system, and Finnish culture.
• Trainees participate in course design.

Course period: February–April
• 15 trainees are divided into 5 groups
(3 people/group).
• Trainees go to four cities
(Helsinki, Tampere, Jyväskylä, Oulu).
• Trainees teach in 4-6 schools,
3-4 hours per school every week.
• Trainees prepare for the lectures and give feedbacks to students.
• Trainees have 1-week holiday in February.

Closing event: Mid-April
• Trainees, teachers, students, project organizers, and sponsors get together.
• Summarize the whole project and give feedbacks to the organizers.

Summing up: End of April
• Trainees share experiences together.
• Trainees compose final report reviewing the whole traineeship.
